The Intrinsic BioFoundry is the downstream every plant feeds: one cascade that fractionates a single algal stream into two named product families, dry biomass and materials.

Our reactors
We design and build the reactors ourselves: horizontal tubular photobioreactors in modified PMMA, aluminium framed, aseptically flanged, extruded on the site where they will run. The geometry does not change between the strain bank and a commercial train, so scale up is capacity, not redesign.

The unlock
We store CO2 as bicarbonate in the cultivation medium, decoupling capture from growth. A plant can bank carbon continuously, and capture no longer has to happen where cultivation does.
